Lizenzierungen

Hallo Euch allen!

Du musst dir die Software also jeweils schon genauer anschauen.

Licenses

JBoss projects are developed in open source in order to benefit from the distributed development model and extensive testing provided by the community. The aim is to regularly release stable products (compiled binaries) together with documentation for use in enterprise applications. To ensure that such applications don't have to become open source themselves, we have chosen the business-friendly LGPL as our main license.

The LGPL ensures that you can safely use JBoss products to develop and deploy your applications whilst keeping your source code private. You may even keep changes made to the JBoss product source code private as long as you do not distribute the resulting binaries. If you do distribute the binaries then you are obliged to make any source code changes public, thus ensuring the continued development of JBoss products in open source.

Note: It is often a misconception that JBoss products use the GPL license. While this may be true in certain cases, e.g. JBoss Transactions JTS, the LGPL is almost always preferred.

A list of all the licenses used for each project can be found on the project's main page. Simply click on the project name to go there.
