Problem mit GraKa

Hallo zusammen,
ich bin recht frisch unter den Linux Usern. War bisher nur auf Windows Basis.

Jetzt habe ich ein kleines Problem:

Ich wollte meine GraKa Installieren, und bekomme eine Fehlermeldung (s.u.).

Kurze Infos:
System: Fedora Core 4
GraKa: NVidia Geforce 4MX
Linuxkentnisse: bisher im bereich Kernel, GraKa noch gar nicht. Nur leichte SSH befehle.

File: /home/...USER.../NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-5336-pkg1.run

Befehle die ich gemacht habe:
- ALT+STRG F1 (für die Shell)
- "vi /etc/X11/xorg.conf" dort nv duch nvidia ersetzt
- mit root eingeloggt und ins Verzeichniss gewechselt wo die .run (s.o.) vorhanden ist.
- "sh NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-5336-pkg1.run" eingegeben

und jetzt kommt der fehler:

4. Nvidia tzreiber installieren.
5. nv durch nvidia in der xorg.conf ersetzen
6. mit /usr/sbin/gdm-restart X staretn.
Wichtig das Pakte kernel-devel muss instaliert sein.
Und bei nvida voroher Prüfen, ob die Karte noch nunterstützt wird.

Irgendwie klappt das mir dem Kernel net. Den damit habe ich noch nie was gemacht. und weiß auch nicht wo ich den finde

Das fehlte mir.

Jetyt kommt folgendes Problem
Ich geh in die Shell und sage .../gdm-stop X
dies macht er soweit ich das seh und wechselt dann wieder zum Grafischen Login Menue

/usr/sbin/gdm-stop X
/usr/sbin/gdm-stop
/usr/sbin/gdm-stop init 3

jedesmal komme ich zum grafischen login

nee
einfach nur init 3 an der Konsole
dan den Treiber installieren
xorg.conf ändern.
und init 5 aufrufen

Also jetzt kam ich wieder in die Console und blieb dort auch.
Bei der Installation der Treiber kamm jetzt folgende Meldung:

YES habe ich gemacht

No Matching percopiled Kernel interface was found on the NVIDA ftp Site; this means that the installer will need a copile a kernel interface for your kernel

OK -> Danach wollte er irgendwas machen (% anzeige)

Error unable to build zje NVIDIA kernel module



(zur info ich habe zum ausführen nur "sh NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-5336-pkg1.run" eingegeben ohne irgendwas anderes)

okay habe ich auch nochmal gemacht kommt aber beim gleichen raus

wenn es hilfreicher ist, würde ich dir sogar SSH freigeben
