Flaschen Intel S5000VSA 8DIMM
Moin,
Ich möchte das BIOS von unserem Server updaten. Verbaut ist ein Intel S5000VSA. Ich habe mir die Intel Deployment CD geladen.
Leider kann ich weder von Intel die Firmware laden , noch vom USB Stick (fat/fat32/ntfs erkennt nichts)
Wie kann ich sonst das bios und den bmc Flashen?

IMPORTANT NOTES
************************************************************************
It is highly recommended that you read the Release Notes of the software updates
provided to understand what the known issues are, what issues were addressed from
previous updates, and what new features (if any) were added.
BIOS Bank Select jumper needs for be in Normal mode (2-3) during this whole procedure.
- The BIOS Bank Select jumper is located on the edge of the baseboard next to the
SATA/SAS Ports and is labeled J1J3.

Standard System Software Update
**************************************************************************
These instructions describe a complete system software update including BMC65,
FRUSDR 43, and BIOS 98. Follow the instructions exactly as written. A complete
and successfull update will take approximately 20 minutes.
- Copy all system update files to a bootable USB Disk-on-key device
- Verify processor(s) and memory DIMMs are installed in the system
- Plug in AC power cord
- Wait until Status LED stops blinking red/green (~30 seconds)
- Insert bootable USB Disk-on-Key into USB Port (Front or Rear)
- Power on system using "Power" button on Control Panel
*** BMC65 ***
- At a DOS prompt update to SPBMC63 Firmware by running BMC65.BAT batch file
NOTE: After the BMC firmware update has completed you should receive confirmation
that the update was successful & you should power off your system & remove the AC
power for approx. ~30 seconds before plugging it back in.
*** FRUSDR 43 ***
- At a DOS prompt, Update the FRUSDR data by running the FSP43.BAT batch file.
- Select Option 1, "Update FRU's and SDR's".
- Select the appropriate chassis that the server board is installed in.
- If asked, answer questions for the appropriate number of power supplies and fans
that are installed in the chassis.
- The update will complete sucessfully and give confirmation (You need to perform
a system reset after the FRUSDR update is completed)
*** BIOS101 ***
- At a DOS prompt, update the system BIOS by running update.BAT batch file.
- With Updates completed, power off the system by pushing the "Power" button on
Control Panel.
- Boot the system using the "Power" button.
- During POST, with the Intel logo screen displayed, hit the "F2" key to enter BIOS Setup.
- Once in BIOS setup verify BIOS version.
- Hit the F9 key to load "Optimized factory defaults".
- Set any desired BIOS Setup options.
- Press F10 to SAVE and Exit Bios Setup.
NOTE: It is recommended to run the BIOS update again to flash the other BIOS bank. This will
prevent any issues with incompatible BIOS revisions.
