ASUS Laptop mit 24GB SSD und 1TB HDD

Hallo,

ich habe hier einen ASUS Transformer Laptop zum neu Aufsetzten bekommen.
Das Gerät hat eine 1TB HDD und eine 24GB SSD.

Die Frage lautet nun für was die 24GB SSD gut sein soll?
Wenn ich hier das Windows installiere bekomme ich nicht mal alle Updates installiert.

Der Laptop wird mit Windows 10 aufgesetzt - ich denke dass ich das Windows einfach auf die 1TB HDD installiere.
Hat jemand eine bessere Idee?

Intel Rapid Storage Technology und ExpressCache Treiber müssen aber zusammen passen.

Nö, dafür ist die auch nicht vorgesehen. Zu deiner drehenden 1 TB Scheibe ist die SSD ein zusätzlicher Cache, mehr nicht.

Da war auch das Originale Windows 8.1 Installiert

Die Seagate Momentus SpinPoint M8 mit 1 TByte Speicherplatz wird von einem 24 GByte großen SSD-Cache unterstützt, der häufig verwendete Daten schneller zur Verfügung stellen soll. Da das System aber natürlich erst mal die häufig verwendeten Daten in den Cache auslagern muss, ist dieser Effekt am Anfang gering und wird erst im Laufe der Zeit erkennbar.

Was sagt Dir das? Installiere einfach auf die HDD und gut ist.

In der Datenträgerverwaltung wird mir die 24GB SSD angezeigt.
Muss ich diese nun formatieren um diese als Cache nutzen zu können ?

Wirf einen Blick in das Handbuch und nutze das Utility dafuer. Hatte Dir ja @Pjordorf schon geschrieben.

also das ExpressCache Utility hab ich installiert - es ist aber alles wie vorher und ich finde das Programm auch niergends wo ich es starten oder konfigurieren könnte?!?
Auch im Handbuch hab ich keine Infos dazu gefunden

Hattest Du an der SSD schon irgendwas "formatiert"?

Schau Dir mal dieses an.

1. Install ExpressCache and restart the system
2. Open the CMD as Administrator
3. Enter diskpart to open the Disk Manager and Partition
6. Run the list disk command to see the disks available
7. Type select disk X (replace X with 24GB of disk number shown in the previous listing)
8. Run the clean command to clean up the volume
9. Exit diskpart by typing exit (not exit the prompt)
10. Navigate to the directory C:\Program Files\Diskeeper Corporation\ ExpressCache\
directly by the prompt (use the CD command for this)
11. Enter ECCmd -partition to enable caching11.
Exit the prompt and restart the system againAfter rebooting, if you want to check to see if the cache is active, open the prompt again as an administrator and navigate to the
C:\Program Files\ Diskeeper Corporation\ExpressCache\
Run ECCmd -info command.
Early in the screen on the EC Cache Info section, you should see the Mounted item: Yes, confirming that the cache is enabled.
after installing and do the procedure spoke ExpressCache that the driver was not installed, I installed the hand in the ways below:
C: Program Files\Diskeeper Corporation\ ExpressCache\excfs
C:\Program Files\ Diskeeper Corporation\ExpressCache\excsdI
restarted the notebook and made the procedure to re-create the cache againIt worked perfectly ....
