VMware Server 2 auf Win 2k3 bringt Fehler bei Installation von Debian
Nach Anlegen der Partitionen im Ubuntu und Debian Setup stürzt die VM ab.
Moin Moin,
seit kurzem habe ich den VMware Server 2 auf meinem Windows Server 2003 std installiert. Wenn ich eine VM erstellt habe und und dann von CD/DVD boote um das Setup (Ubuntu / Debian) zu starten bricht alles nach der Partitionierung mit der Fehlermeldung "Glib-ERROR **: ..\..\..\glib\gmem.c:135: failed to allocate 5511 bytes aborting..." ab. Nach erneuten Starten der VM erscheint nur noch ein Cursor- sonst passiert nix mehr.
Nachdem ich die Fehlermeldung weggedrückt habe kam dann diese Meldung im Web Access:
msg.vmxaiomgr.retrycontabort.rudeunplug:Operation on file "D:\VMware Images\Debian 4_1\Debian 4_System-flat.vmdk" failed.
If the file resides on a remote file system, please make sure your network connection and the server where this disk resides are functioning properly. If the file resides on removable media, reattach the media.
Choose Retry to attempt the operation again.
Choose Abort to terminate this session.
Choose Continue to forward the error to the guest operating system.
