Was bedeutet das RT in Windows RT?
Hallo zusammen,
weiß jemand, was das "RT" in "Windows RT" bedeutet?
Im wikipedia-Eintrag steht unter dem Punkt "Namensgebung":
"Microsoft hat zur Bedeutung oder Herkunft des Kürzels "RT" bis heute offiziell keine Angaben gemacht."

Der englische Eintrag klärt auch nicht auf. Und auf der Microsoft Windows RT-Site habe ich auch nichts Erläuterndes gefunden.

The "RT" stands for "runtime", for the Windows Runtime Library, the programming model for applications in the Metro design language. This is an intermediate level software library that allows developers to write an application once and be able to compile it in different ways, so that it runs on both Intel-type and ARM processors. Habe die von Dir gepostete URL mal als "mögliche Quellenangabe" im Diskussionsbereich des betr. wikipedia-Artikels angegeben:

Dort wird auch bereits vermutet, dass RT für Runtime steht. Für die Aufnahme in den Artikel fehlt allerdings noch eine aus deren Sicht ausreichend seriöse Quelle, im besten Falle website oder Blog von Microsoft.
