windows 2003 standard server mit mehr als 4 GB nutzen
Guten Tag,
wir nutzen einen Win 2003 standard Server. Es arbeiten ca. 25 User per rdp darauf.
Nun ist die Auslagerungsdatei immer am Limit.
Der Server hat 4GB.
Meines Wissens nach unterstützt Standard Server nur bis zu 4GB. Mehr kann erst die Enterprise Edition.
Gibt es eine Möglichkeit trotzdem mehr Ram zu nutzen?
Würde mir gerne ein teures Update sparen...

Zum Umgehen könntest Du (Testsystem zuerst) Ramdisk 9 plus ansehen http://www.superspeed.com/servers/ramdisk.php -eine Trial ist erhältlich- , ich wollte es mir bei Zeiten ansehen, bislang kann ich nur die Hilfedatei zitieren:

On a machine running 32-bit Windows XP SP2 or Vista with 8 GB of main memory installed and with PAE mode enabled, a RAM disk up to 7.5 GB can be created!
Put as Much RAM as You Have and Need to Work
RamDisk Plus 9.0 thus reclaims the memory resources that would otherwise be lost or unusable. This provides greater versatility in the use of Windows operating systems and applications that can benefit from the increased performance afforded by RAM disks. Now any 32-bit PAE-enabled edition of Windows can access up to 64 GB of main memory, using the bulk of it to enhance system performance!
RamDisk Plus 9.0 supports two methods to access UM: dynamic and static. Dynamic access, or dynamic allocation, allows UM to be used transparently along with the physical memory managed by Windows. Static access, or direct address, allows specific blocks of physical memory to be allocated for RAM disks.
In wieweit dies Deine Zwecke abdeckt, musst Du sehen - evtl. eine Ramdisk für die Pagefile anlegen? Dies ist unter normalen Umständen (aller RAM adressierbar) sinnlos, hier offenbar sinnvoll.
