How is Teradata different ] from Oracle, given that both are RDBMS databases?
Teradata and oracle both are RDBMS, that's true.
This is the very basic difference I have quoted out.
Oracle is OLTP and Teradata is OLAP.
That is oracle is a kind DB which is used as a backend for many online applications in which you insert update and delete record, you basically do transaction on Oracle.
When coming to Teradata it is used for Data warehousing that is maintaining the huge amount data which is used for the analytics purpose. there are no real-time transactions. Teradata Offers the Fastest Computation and storage capacity.
Oracle also has a OLAP Database called Oracle EXADATA.
