Web clips ipads partages

Hello,

I would like to put a web clip on shared ipads but it doesn't work, I get this error "Profile installation failed / The system entity type "com.apple.webClip.managed" is not authorized to be installed in multi-user mode."

Anyone have an idea to resolve this problem?

THANKS.

Hi.
Please provide more information about your distribution/deployment path please.

I think this could be your problem ...

Doing some research it appears web clips have to be pushed to the users, not the device.

I would try setting this up as a user profile push and see if it works for you.
For Shared iPad devices, the system supports this payload on the user channel only

I would like to add a web clip to my shared iPads but it doesn't work, the web clip does not want to be displayed on the home screen of my iPads.
I follow the usual procedure, i.e. Profiles > Presentation > Student Web Clips > Web Clips and I enter the information from the web clip that I want to enter (in my case it is a link for the Scratch site).
Except that when I go within the scope of this profile, all devices have a failed status.

Ok but this doesn't help us. We don't know wich software you are using for the deployment. See the link for the problem above. You are deploying this to the device instead to the users, and in multiuser environment it is only allowed to be pushed to the users not to the whole device. See the Apple documentation above.

I use Jamf School and Apple School Manager. I will look at the links you sent me. And then I don't know if this solution will work because my shared iPads do not have predefined users, several students have their sessions and connect to them.

Ok, this is a known issue here and is related to the above Multiuser / Singleuser problem already posted see
Webclips on Shared iPads
Is there a fix for Webclips and shared ipads. Currently it is only possible for single user only.
Some workarounds without webclips are mentioned on the page.
