Kyocera FS-C5200DN druckt kein Rot

Hallo,

LG,
Johanna

HOWTO: Fix missing colours on Kyocera colour laser by Phil Pemberton (4/20/12 7:09 PM) reply + / -
One from my repair notes... enjoy!

MODELS AFFECTED:
Kyocera "Cassiopeia" Engine based printers: FS-C5100DN, FS-C5200DN, FS-C5300DN.

SYMPTOMS:
Loss of one or more toner colours, usually yellow but occasionally cyan or magenta too.

CAUSE:
Poor connection or dirt (e.g. dust or toner) on contacts of drum or developer unit prevents high voltage from reaching the drum.

RESOLUTION:
Note: Nitrile or latex protective gloves should be worn to avoid contact with toner, or transfer of grease from fingers to printer components.
Open top cover.
Remove all four toner cartridges.
Remove coloured toner cartridge guides from RHS of printer.
Remove two Phillips #2 screws in top of printer, near back panel corners.
Lift RFID sensor module (black plastic module on RHS) up and flip onto right side panel.
Grasp Intermediate Transfer Unit by handle (near back of printer on large black section) and lift up at an angle. Slide ITU out of printer. Note position of the guides in the guide rails near the front of the printer.
DO NOT PLACE THE TRANSFER BELT DOWN ON ANY SURFACE! Place the transfer unit ON THE HARD PLASTIC LID ONLY!
Remove four imaging drums. Temporarily store in subdued light to avoid degrading the OPC coating.
Remove four developer units.
Clean contacts on left and right side of developer units (metal pins which slide into the slots in the printer chassis). Repeat for the metal pins on the imaging drums.
Reinstall developers and drums in the order they were removed. Do not mix up the drums or developers! If you do mix up the drums or developer units, you WILL screw up the (basically, you'll need to replace all the drums and developer units)
Reinstall the intermediate transfer unit, taking care that the black plastic pins engage correctly with the white plastic guide rails.
Flip the RFID unit back down on top of the transfer unit.
Reinstall two #2 Phillips screws to secure the transfer unit.
Reinstall four toner cartridges.

Print quality may deteriorate slightly (e.g. speckling on page due to excess toner inside the printer). In this case, create a document in Word or similar which consists of several completely blank pages, and print it until the paper ejected from the printer is clean on both sides.

ADDITIONAL NOTES:
Early release firmware on these printers is extremely buggy. Upgrade to Version 2HN_3000.E07.017 2011.01.18 or later (or the equivalent for your printer). Issues include crashing when duplexed print data is sent from a UNIX or Mac system (via CUPS), printing certain PDFs causes printer to crash, unexplained Service errors, etc. Contact Kyocera for this firmware update, or a later release.
