Postfix für Smarthost mit SMTPS konfigurieren
Diese Anleitung ist für die Verwendung mit Debian 5.0 geschrieben.
Wer auf einen Linux-System nur mal eben eine Log-Datei versenden will konfiguriert in der Regel keinen eigenen SMTP-Server, sondern nutzt das lokale System mit einen Smart-Host.
Im folgenden beschreibe ich wie man ein Debian-Grundsystem mit Postfix konfiguriert.

1. System auf aktuellen Stand bringen
Für Debian-User
apt-get update && apt-get update
aptitude update && aptitude safe-upgrade
2. Postfix und entsprechende Komponenten installieren
apt-get install libsasl2
apt-get install postfix
3. Frage nach der Konfiguration mit Satelliten-System beantworten und den entsprechenden Smart-Host angeben.
4. Benutzername und Passwort für den Smarthost in extra Datei ablegen
joe /etc/postfix/relay_passwd
smtp.example.com username:password
5. Hash-Tabelle für Passwortdatei erstellen
postmap hash:/etc/postfix/relay_passwd
6. Jetzt noch den Postfix konfigurieren
postconf -e 'smtp_sasl_auth_enable = yes'
postconf -e 'smtp_sasl_password_maps = hash:/etc/postfix/relay_passwd'
postconf -e 'smtp_sasl_security_options = noanonymous'
postconf -e 'smtp_use_tls = yes'
7. Postfix neu starten
/etc/init.d/postfix restart
8. Eine Testmail senden…
tail -f /var/log/mail.log
mail -s "Test" test.nutzer@example.com
