Probleme mit Cisco C3560X - Ersatz-Empfehlung
in unserer gemeinnützigen Einrichtung mit ca. 30 Mitarbeitern, hat bisher eine Cisco C3560X-48P ihren treuen Dienst verrichtet. Leider tut der Switch es nicht mehr, es leuchten noch die ersten grünen Lämpchen, aber kein LAN-Port leuchtet. Ein Reboot verläuft scheinbar normal und auch der dabei durchgeführte LAN-Port LED-Test zeigt, dass alle LEDs leuchten können. Aber nach dem Abschluss des Reboots, sind alle LAN-Port-LEDs tot, nur die oberen Status-LEDs leuchten.
Ob das mit dem Blitzeinschlag zu tun hat, kann ich schlecht sagen. Alle Geräte hängen hinter einer USV und einem Überspannungsschutz und keine anderen Geräte sind betroffen. Vielleicht ist es auch nur ein unglücklicher Zusammenhang.
Habt ihr eine Idee, ob man da noch etwas richten kann? Oder müssen wir sie nach den vielen treuen Jahren zum IT-Grabe tragen ;)
Verbunden damit ist die Frage nach einer Empfehlung für einen neuen Switch. Wir haben noch eine zweite Cisco C3560G-48P im Hause, die im anderen Gebäude als Verteiler fungiert.
Wäre ein Mikrotik Switch empfehlenswert? Wenn ja, welcher?
Oder ein Switch von Unifi? Wir haben bereits deren APs im Haus im Einsatz.
Wir benötigen POE für die VoIP Telefone und APs, VLANs, 24 Ports würden genügen.
Preislich sind wir eher gedeckelt, weil gemeinnützig und spendenfinanziert.

Was sagt denn der serielle Konsol Output beim Bootprozess wenn du mal ein Terminal (PuTTY) am seriellen Port anschliesst??
Dort wird dir doch anhand der Boot Messages genau gesagt ob es Fehler gibt oder nicht und wenn ja genau welche. Dieser Output wäre sehr hilfreich gewesen für eine Ursachenanalyse.
Als Alternative kannst du ein gleichartiges Cisco CBS Modell aus deren Billigschiene nehmen enweder 220 oder 250X je nachdem ob du routest (L3 Switching) oder nicht und ob 10Gig ein Thema ist.
Als weitere Alternative kannst du z.B. einen Ruckus ICX-7150-24P nehmen. Der hat die gleiche (Cisco) Konfig Syntax und supportet auch deren proprietäres PVSTP+ Spanning Tree Protokoll.
Einen anderen Switch aus dem Billigsegemnt der kein PVSTP+ oder zumindestens MSTP supportet solltest du in einem bestehenden VLAN segmentierten Cisco Netz besser nicht einsetzen wenn du kein STP Chaos riskieren willst! Siehe u.a. dazu auch hier.

Ich habe gelesen, dass ein "IC chip" defekt sein kann, aber wenn alle Ports keinen Strom haben ... Kann man da etwas machen oder ist das ein Totalschaden?
Als Alternative kannst du ein gleichartiges Cisco CBS Modell aus deren Billigschiene nehmen enweder 220 oder 250X je nachdem ob du routest (L3 Switching) oder nicht und ob 10Gig ein Thema ist.
Als weitere Alternative kannst du z.B. einen Ruckus ICX-7150-24P nehmen. Der hat die gleiche (Cisco) Konfig Syntax und supportet auch deren proprietäres PVSTP+ Spanning Tree Protokoll.
Einen anderen Switch aus dem Billigsegemnt der kein PVSTP+ oder zumindestens MSTP supportet solltest du in einem bestehenden VLAN segmentierten Cisco Netz besser nicht einsetzen wenn du kein STP Chaos riskieren willst! Siehe u.a. dazu auch hier.

PoE war bisher auf allen Ports aktiv, da hatte ich nichts verändert.
Momentan geht gar kein Port, weder ohne noch mit PoE.

Das kann Software oder ein HW Defekt sein. Du solltest in jedem Falle einmal die aktuelle Firmware neu flashen um Softwarefehler auszuschliessen und einen Reboot fahren.
Deine verwendete Firmware ist zudem ur- uralt und gar nicht mehr supportet!

Kommt wieder dieser Fehler ist von einem HW Defekt auszugehen. Dann hilft dir nur kostenlose RMA wenn du die Ciscos unter Wartung hast oder wenn nicht, dann ein Neukauf eines gebrauchten 3560 bei eBay & Co oder der bereits o.g. Alternativen.

Gut, der PoE HW Test scheitert.
Das kann Software oder ein HW Defekt sein. Du solltest in jedem Falle einmal die aktuelle Firmware neu flashen um Softwarefehler auszuschliessen und einen Reboot fahren.
Flash auf die aktuellste Firmware ist erfolgt.
Factory Reset und Kaltstart ist ebenfalls erfolgt, scheinbar ohne Erfolg. Hier der aktuelle Bootvorgang:

Ein eingestecktes 1G-SFP-Modul funktioniert übrigens problemlos.
Kommt wieder dieser Fehler ist von einem HW Defekt auszugehen. Dann hilft dir nur kostenlose RMA wenn du die Ciscos unter Wartung hast oder wenn nicht, dann ein Neukauf eines gebrauchten 3560 bei eBay & Co oder der bereits o.g. Alternativen.
Würdest du, in unserem Falle (gemeinnützig, etc.) noch eine C3560 kaufen? Lohnt sich das?
Oder wäre dann eine CBS250-24P-4X die bessere Wahl?
10G brauchen wir noch nicht, aber vielleicht bald, daher würde ich vorsorglich die X nehmen.
