VM geht "einfach" aus

Hallo allerseits,

ich bin leider kein "Linux-Crack", habe mich aber die letzten Jahre etwas damit auseinandergesetzt, für mein Problem würde ich gern Eure Hilfe in Anspruch nehmen.

Ich habe bei einem Hoster in eine VM selbst ein Debian Buster installiert. Darin läuft ein Mailserver (Kerio Connect).

Soweit ist alles seit 3 Monaten wunderbar, jedoch ist der Server bereits 2 x ohne von außen erkennbaren Grund einfach abgeschaltet gewesen. Ich habe jetzt mal die Syslog rauskopiert und poste die entsprechenden Teile hier. Vielleicht gibt es ja jemand, dem da etwas auffällt?

Die Abschaltung erfolgte etwa 09.30 Uhr am 14.03. // Und interessant wäre auch, was vom Vortag 21:35:00 bis zum nächten Tag 09:38:30 passiert ist? Und kurz danach muss er ausgegangen sein.

BUG: soft lockup - CPU#3 stuck for 22s
Lässt mich vermuten, das der Host überbucht ist und/oder deine VM zuviel CPU Cycles zieht. Schonmal mit dem Support des Hosters gesprochen?

Ja, der Hoster sagt - ohne, dass ich ihn konkret auf Deine Erkenntnisse angesprochen habe, lediglich auf den Umstand, dass die VM ausgeht - es liegt an mir, da ich ja selber für die VM zuständig bin.

Aber er stellt doch die Hardware bereit für ein Entgelt, oder nicht? Also muss er doch auch beweisen, dass bei Ihm alles in Ordnung ist.

Das mit der CPU Meldung klingt eindeutig nach einem Problem der Hardware. Kannst Du mal testweise dort eine andere Maschine installieren und schauen, ob sich das Verhalten reproduzieren lässt? Oder reduziere mal die CPU Anzahl, welche der VM zugewiesen sind.

Wäre auch interessant zu wissen, ob die Debian VM in irgendeiner Weise "überlastet" ist mit ihren Aufgaben.

Das werde ich natürlich. An sowas habe ich gar nicht gedacht.
Nein, ich glaube nicht, dass die Maschine durch sich selber überlastet ist, ich habe ähnliche etliche auf eigenen Servern laufen, wo das nicht auftritt.
Der Tipp kann schon stimmen.
