Upgrade-Path Palo Alto 8.1.6 zu 10.1.3
Hallo zusammen,
derzeit befindet sich unsere Palo Alto auf der Softwareversion 8.1.6.
Unsere Ziel-Version sollte die 10.1.3 werden.
Kennt jemand den genauen Upgrade-Path um von 8.1.6 zu 10.1.3 und worauf ich achten muss?

Hi,
okay, die dürfte keinerlei Probleme mit der 10.x haben. Wir hatten kleine Außenstellen mit 320er angebunden und die waren ab der Version 10.0.x quasi nicht mehr bedienbar, da total überfordert.
(Die 850er kann doch überhaupt kein PAN-OS 8.1?)

also PaloAlto schreib dazu folgendes:
When you upgrade from one PAN-OS feature release version to a later feature release, you cannot skip the installation of any feature release versions in the path to your target release. In addition, the recommended upgrade path includes installing the latest maintenance release in each release version before you install the base image for the next feature release version. To minimize downtime for your users, perform upgrades during non-business hours.
8.1.x
Download and install the latest preferred PAN-OS 8.1 maintenance release and reboot.
Download PAN-OS 9.0.0
Download and install the latest preferred PAN-OS 9.0 maintenance release and reboot.
Review the upgrade/downgrade considerations before upgrading any Log Collectors to the latest PAN-OS 9.0 maintenance release.
Download PAN-OS 9.1.0.
Download and install the latest preferred PAN-OS 9.1 maintenance release and reboot.
Download PAN-OS 10.0.0.
Download and install the latest preferred PAN-OS 10.0 maintenance release and reboot.
Proceed to Upgrade the Firewall to PAN-OS 10.1.
