Windows Server 2016 WSUS - keine Updates für Windows 7 Pro

Hallo zusammen,

ich habe ein Problem mit dem WSUS (Server 2016), sowie Clients auf Windows 7 Basis.
GPO's sind angelegt, werden auch erkannt und umgesetzt. Die Clients melden sich auch am WSUS (in der Verwaltungskonsole ersichtlich), aktualisieren sich aber nicht.
Ebenfalls wird kein Statusbericht erstellt.
Es wurden Clients sowohl innerhalb der Domäne betrachtet (Verteilung der Richtlinie), als auch außerhalb (setzen der Einstellungen manuell).
Die Clients melden als Version 7.6.7601.23806.

Ein gefundener Tipp, zuerst das Convenience Update durchzuführen, habe ich versucht, brachte aber leider nicht gewünschten Erfolg.

Vielleicht hat jemand ähnliche Probleme wie ich, wäre für jede Hilfe dankbar!

Du hast nicht zufällig mal deinen WSUS Server gewechselt oder neu installiert und dieser hat nun den gleichen Hostnamen wie der vorherige?
Der error 0x80072efd deutet auf ein Kommunikationsfehler mit dem WSUS Server hin, sagt auch dieser Thread hier.

Ich hatte vor einigen Tagen auch genau diesen 0x80072efd Fehler. Ursache bei mir war dass ich auf die Idee kam bei bestehenden Clients die WSUS URL in der GPO komplett anzugeben. Also http://fqdn:port. Vorher wurde die WSUS Konfig via reg Datei importiert und beinhaltete nur die URL http://hostname
Ich änderte die URL wieder nur auf den hostname und das Problem war sofort nach Neustart des Windows Update Dienstes weg. An sich blödsinn, aber irgendwo im System der Clients scheint der Windows Update Client sich den alten Hostnamen gemerkt zu haben und hat dann ein Problem mit dem neuen.

Auch vor Jahren hatte ich mal großen Trouble als ich den WSUS Server ersetzte, aber den Hostnamen behielt. Die Lösung dafür weiss ich nicht mehr, aber seit dem kriegt jeder neue WSUS Server eine andere IP mit anderem Hostnamen verpasst.
