Render Wrangler / Tech Support - RTT AG (Munich)

RTT was founded in 1999 and offers 3D technology and services on the highest level. For our movie production and artwork department we are looking for a Render Wrangler to join our technical support team. This is a great entry position for someone, who is interested in the 3D industry.

Technical Resource Administrator duties include monitoring and the load balancing of a distributed batch queue. In addition you will assist artists with errored jobs and you will care for the daily maintenance of the render farm. You will also monitor the I/O of data across various file systems and initiative data transfers to allocate disk space.

Mail Responsibilities:
_Troubleshoot, fix and re-run failed jobs
_Monitor load performance on render farm machines
_Monitor and troubleshoot render farm machines
_Assist users with job submissions and failed jobs
_Respond to all render-related support calls
_Work together with production to forecast render resources
_Implement processes and procedures to improve workflow

Monitor Disk Space:
_Monitor file systems and escalate all disk space problems
_Work with production to forecast disk space needs

For this position, you should be equipped with the following know-how:

Software Skills:
_Windows XP
_Windows 2003
_Mental Ray & Maya
_Linux Experience is a plus
_Windows Administration Experience

Language Skills:
_German
_Englisch
